The American Society of Media Photographers and the Ernest Brooks Foundation are excited to partner together as we participate in the Palm Springs Photo Festival.
As ASMP celebrates its 75th Anniversary and EBF launches a new not-for-profit Foundation, both organizations look forward to the future of photography and the ramifications in the creative and business realms.
ASMP Chapters around the country this year will be hosting Strictly Business Conferences to help all photographers create sustainable businesses as our industry continues to change.
EBF is dedicated to promoting the advancement of careers in the field of visual arts through academics, scholarship and community outreach, in partnership with the University of California, Santa Barbara (Brooks at UCSB) and through EBF workshops and programming.
Together we will be hosting “The Future of the Industry: Creative Opportunities” Symposium to explore how different creators are approaching how they are adapting to a new culture. We’ll have four panelists: photographers Jenna Close, Matt Rainwaters, and Cara Robbins will be joined by Jen Lamping from RPA who can lend perspective to the Art Production side of things. Our panelists bring a varied perspective on what kinds of opportunities they see for creatives in the future.
Look for our Symposium on Tuesday September 22nd.
